About The Outdoor Art Club

The Outdoor Art Club is a private, nonprofit women's organization which was formed in 1902. Our mission is "To preserve the natural scenery of Mill Valley and the surrounding country, to beautify the grounds around public buildings, to work against the wanton destruction of birds and game, to encourage the development of outdoor art and to engage in other civic, literary and charitable work."
The clubhouse is available for rental by the public. See Rental page.

Nikki Meredith, Author of The Manson Women & Me: Monsters, Morality & Murder

Author Nikki Meredith will discuss her recent book, The Manson Women & Me: Monsters, Morality & Murder in a live interview conducted by her daughter, Caitlin Meredith.
Part memoir and part true-crime narrative, The Manson Women and Me is an unflinching examination of Leslie Van Houten and Patricia Krenwinkel, two seemingly normal young women who took a dark journey into the very heart of evil.
Nikki Meredith is an award-winning journalist whose work has appeared in The Pacific Sun, The Marin Independent Journal, Psychology Today, The San Francisco Examiner and Chronicle, and California Living, among others. She is a former probation officer, a licensed family therapist, and a former NPR reporter. 
Caitlin Meredith is also an award-winning journalist, whose work has appeared in The San Francisco Examiner, The Marin Independent Journal, The Pacific Sun, Parenting, Psychology Today, Health, USA Today, and Utne Reader. She is a licensed clinical social worker, a former probation officer, and an adviser to The San Quentin News.

Members of The League of Women Voters will present the pros and cons of key state and local ballot measures appearing on the November ballot, followed by questions from the audience. Light refreshments will be served. This is a free public event. Don't miss it!

Community Blood Drive - 11am-3pm

Be a Hero, donate blood!


The Outdoor Art Club Community Blood Drive will take place on Wednesday, November 14, from 11am-3pm at One West Blithedale, Mill Valley. More than 4 million people need blood transfusions each year in the U.S. but fewer than 5% of healthy Americans donate blood. Please be a hero and donate blood at our Community Blood Drive.  Make an appointment at www.bloodheroes.com so you can be sure you can make a donation of blood that day. Learn About the illustrious career of this Presidential Medal of Freedom Honoree and the author of My Journey At The Nuclear Brink


Please join us to hear William J. Perry, former U.S. Secretary of Defense, speak on his vast experience in government. Secretary Perry served under President Bill Clinton from 1994-1997. Previously, he was the Deputy Secretary of Defense from 1993-1994. His illustrious career includes time in government, academia, private enterprise, and diplomacy. In recent years he has dedicated the bulk of his efforts towards educating the next generation on the dangers of nuclear weapons. Mr. Perry was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom and is the author of My Journey At The Nuclear Brink among other titles.
